Anomalous Parapsychology.

I stumbled across these gems from a project I worked on in my second year at University, a brief we were given illustrating anomalous parapsychology. Such an interesting subject! I decided to head in the obvious ghostly direction but with an anatomical subject.

I’d love to recreate these with macabre images hidden within the ‘brain scans’ to make them a little more interesting, most likely skull and demons.

‘Tank’ – kitchen paper and cardboard colograph.

I recently created some typography and colograph landscapes as part of the House of Illustration ‘War Horse’ competition and these are some of the outcomes. The typography was an experimental monoprint and the landscapes were all created using a mixture of kitchen paper, cling film and cardboard.

‘Toward Portland’ by Arnold Barkus – Koi Fish.

A couple of paper-cut koi fish morphed with American Highway imagery. I created this for an article titled ‘Toward Portland’ by Arnold Barkus, which discusses the Japanese concept of ‘Ma’ – the space/pause/break between two things.

I loved how these turned out and think I’ll be doing a lot more paper cutting in my spare time.
